had some slight sun posioning from the flea market yesterday, so i went home early from work.... couldn't get to sleep so I drew this to lull me into relaxation

Introducing Daite (Dye-teh) Itsu's boyfriend.... and if you haven't figured out who he looks like by now... you're a loser! LOL
lets just say

Ebisu was Damned Proud
Toshi was confused
Saku was stricken with the responcibility to protect his baby sister
and Kakashi was pissed.... knowing of Ebi's past rumors of being the closet perv that he was (and seeing much of his take on wooing Toshi when they were younger), he immediatly sprang into action to try to see what the boy's true intenions were for his daughter.... Saku agreed and kept a strong eye on him....

personally Daite is nothing like his dad Ebisu. In fact he's quite the opposite.... easygoing and fun loving like his girlfriend Itsu, he's charming, and Toshi actually sees him as a good influence on her little girl... He and Itsu became friends at the academy and both graduated the same year. Daite is one year older than Itsu, and is litterally scared (pardon my french) shit-less by Saku. Saku, being the Hokage, is basically Daite's boss... and the hokage has on several occassions pulled the boy aside and told him what for on dating his baby sister... which infuriates both Toshi and Itsu... and pleases Kakashi (he's recieved many Icha Icha related gifts for this task ) Daite is envyed by his older sister Ashi, who sees him as a potential rival... aside from her rivalry with Waka over Sakumo's affection....

His design is very loosely based on Ebisu. I didn't give him the bandana leaf protector because that's an item that his sister supports... I figured that Ebi would be the kind of guy w/ spiky short black hair, so I went for that look. The sad face on his shoulder is to represent the one ninja in the village that Daite looks up to... Konohamaru Sarutobi, his father's old pupil who is currently instructing his sister Ashi and her genin team. Daite is the shy sort, and is easily embarrassed by his girlfriend's obsession with the sister novel series (written by Naruto in honor of Jiraiya) Icha Icha Love... a series that Saku, Toshi, and Kakashi all dispise and have labled "Fanfiction".
